T.R. Miller Lady Tiger starting pitcher Miranda Anderson added another no hitter and perfect game to her resume Tuesday at home as the Lady Tigers defeated Hillcrest 15-0. The win improved T.R. Miller to 16-2 overall with their eighth straight win.
Anderson pitched a complete game three innings allowing no runs, no hits, no walks and struck out four in the win. The no hitter was the fourth of the season that Anderson had been part of for T.R. Miller.
Teralyn Moore led the Lady Tigers at the plate. Moore was a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBIs.
Brandi Kennedy had an RBI in the win for T.R. Miller and Leah Brundidge was 2-for-3.
Natalie Neal had an RBI and Taylor Guthrie was 2-for-3 with one RBI. Emily Waters was 1-for-3 along with Leigh Margaret Bostic and Anderson was 2-for-2 in the win.
T.R. Miller defeated Bayside Academy  twice Thursday night to get their 10th straight wins.  See Wednesday’s paper for that game story as T.R. Miller won 11-0 in game one and 18-8 in game two.
T.R. Miller JV 10, Hillcrest 9
The T.R. Miller Lady Tiger JV team ended their season with a 10-9 dramatic win to end their season with a 6-1 record.
Leading 5-2 heading into the last inning of play, Hillcrest scored seven runs in the top of the fifth inning to go ahead 9-5.
Down by four and needing five runs to get the win, the Lady Tigers did just that as Jessica Allen drove in the game winning RBI to score Abbi Roberts and give the Lady Tigers the one-run come-from-behind win.
Laurel Billy picked up the win on the mound for T.R. Miller. Billy went the complete game and allowed nine runs, three hits, walked seven (three in the final inning), hit three, and struck out two.
Kristin Booker was 2-for-3 and Lauren Ward was 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI. Audrey Hamric was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and Taylor was 1-for-2 with one RBI. Moriah Brundidge was 1-for-1 with a triple and Haley Baggett had one RBI and Roberts had two.
T.R. Miller grabbed an early 2-0 in the first inning as Hillcrest cut the lead to 2-1 in the top of the second inning. T.R. Miller grabbed a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the second inning, but Hillcrest cut the lead to 3-2 in the top of the third. T.R. Miller held a 5-2 lead in the bottom of the third inning as they scored two runs.
Heading into the top of the fifth inning, Hillcrest’s first seven batters of the inning scored via hit batter, a single and three straight walks, another hit batter and another single to drop the Lady Tigers down by a score of 9-5.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Kristin Booker led the inning off with a single and Lauren Ward doubled to score Booker. Hamric then doubled to score Ward and Baggett was hit-by-pitch.
Roberts then reached on an error that tied the game at 9-9 with no outs. With one out, a single scored the winning run and T.R. Miller won 10-9.
The only loss for the JV Lady Tigers was a 4-3 loss to J.U. Blacksher in last at bat.
