Mrs. Jewel Dean Wilson Gantt, 75, died Saturday, May 2, 2009, at a Pensacola, Fla., hospital after an extended illness. She was a native and life long resident of Escambia County, and was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her parents, Jeppie and Lucinda Wilson; sisters, Jeanette Rogers and Audrey Mae Wilson; and brothers, Charls Wilson, Lucas Wilson, Jim Wilson and Jeppie Wilson.
She is survived by her husband, Willie Gantt of Brewton; a brother, L.J. Wilson of Brewton; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 5, at 10 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
