Mrs. Mary Ellen Barrow, 82, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009, in a Pensacola hospital. She was a native of Pollard, and a resident of Century for most of her life. She attended the Faith Bible Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Barrow; two daughters, Brenda Dean and Paula Moye; and her parents, Charlie and Lena Rice.
She is survived by her son, Darrell (Peggy) Barrow of Century; three daughters, Diane (Millard) Childress of Pollard, Susan Dunsford of Century, and Mary (Randy) Murph of Byrneville, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Rice of Century, and James Rice of Flomaton; and three sisters, Betty Norwood of Pensacola, Fla., Vickie Hussey of Hernando, Miss., and Kate Bondurant of Century.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 16, at 11 a.m. at the Faith Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Barrow officiating. Burial followed at Pollard Cemetery with Petty Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Chris Barrow, Darin Barrow, Shaun Moye, Brian Moye, Danny Moye and Steven Dean.
