JDCC baseball to have camp in June
Jefferson Davis Community College head baseball coach Darrell Blevins will be holding a high school team baseball camp in June.
The camp will be Monday, June 1 through June 5 from 8 a.m. to noon at JDCC Warhawk field.  The camp is open to 2010 high school varsity and junior varsity players and will be $50 per participant. For more information, please call Blevins at 251-809-1563.
Youth League plans to meet
The Youth Summer Community League (YSCL) will have their first meeting for their annual basketball league Thursday, May 21, at Second St. Siloam Baptist Church at 6 p.m.
The league is asking as many civic and church organizations to join the league.  Feel free to contact George Watson with any questions at 809-488 after 5 p.m. 
Games will begin on June 6 until Aug. 1 and will be held every Friday and Saturday at the Brewton Middle School gym. Each team is grade and age based and is open kindergarten (age 5) to 12th grade (age 18).
Siran Stacy to speak in Brewton
The Escambia County Alabama Alumni & Friends Chapter will hold its Spring Meeting and Membership Drive on Thursday, June 4 at the Country Club of Brewton at 6:30 p.m.
Guest Speaker will be Siran Stacy (former Alabama football player who lost his wife and four of his children when hit by a drunk driver several years ago)
Cost per person  is $20 and will include a shrimp and prime rib dinner)
The registration form will also have chapter membership renewal information.
