Mr. James Aubrey White Jr., 66, died Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native and life long resident of Escambia County and was a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry. He was of the Baptist faith and served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, James A. White Sr. and Daisey Belle White; and his stepfather, Harley King.
He is survived by three daughters, Donna Tullis of Flomaton, and Tina Lucas and Machelle White, both of Brewton; two brothers, Benny White and Johnny Mack White, both of Brewton; three sisters, Christine Jordan of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Flora Belle Howard of Brewton, and Frances Garrett of Pensacola, Fla.; six grandchildren, Jessica, Brendan, Justin, Maycee, Ronna and Makylee; and one great-grandchild, Gracie.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 29, at 3 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial followed at Damascus Cemetery at Douglas Chapel Church with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
