Mrs. Lorine Pettis Baker, 77, died Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at a Milton, Fla., health care facility after an extended illness. She was a native and long time resident of Conecuh County, and had resided in Milton for the past eight years. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, John Jasper Baker of Milton; a daughter, Beverly Baker (Sean) Griggers of Cantonment, Fla.; a son, Mitchell Baker of Evergreen; a sister, Ruthie Johnson of Castleberry; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 1, from 12 until 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 1, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy White officiating. Burial will follow at London Baptist Church Cemetery in Castleberry with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral home directing.
