Babe Ruth sees perfect game

A no-hitter and a perfect game were seen in the last weeks of games in the 2009 Brewton Babe Ruth season.
Kevin Davis pitched a no-hitter for the Twins as they defeated the Dodgers 8-0. A trio of White Sox pitchers combined for a no-hitter as they defeated the Angels 5-1.
Conner Denton pitched a perfect game for the Diamondbacks as they defeated the Angels 9-0.
Twins 8, Dodgers 0
The Twins’ Kevin Davis pitched a complete game no-hitter and the Twins scored eight runs in the fifth inning to pick up an 8-0 win over the Dodgers.
Davis struck out 11 in the win and walked one in five innings of work.
Logan Williamson was 1-for-2 with an RBI and Kam Winn was 1-for-1 in the win.
For the Dodgers, Shawn Odom took the loss allowing five runs, three earned on one hit, walked seven and struck out seven.
Red Sox 12, White Sox 8
The Red Sox scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh to claim a 12-8 win after trailing 8-7.
Joseph Strength picked up the win on the mound for the Red Sox and Gary McGraw took the loss for the White Sox.
Darby Black was 2-for-4 with two doubles for the Red Sox and Brewer Murphy was 1-for-3 with three RBIs.
Strength picked up the win in relief of starter Hunter Mullins.
Jaren Jackson was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Dominique Jackson was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Diamondbacks 14, Twins 7
After falling behind early in the game 7-2 after two innings, the Diamondbacks scored seven runs in the seventh inning after tying the game at 7-7 in the sixth inning.
Eli Tyree picked up the win on the mound going three innings and allowing no runs.
Conner Denton was 1-for-3 along with Louis Miller. Tyree was 2-for-5 with three RBIs and Hunter Franklin was 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs.
Dylan Godwin took the loss in relief as he allowed six earned runs, nine total, in three innings of work.
Winn was 2-for-3 and Jon Ellis was 2-for-3 with a double. Silas Tucker was 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI in the loss for the Twins.
Twins 13,
Evergreen Braves 8
Logan Williamson was 2-for-3 with a homerun and five RBIs as the Twins defeated the Evergreen Braves 13-8.
Wes Maddox picked up the win on the mound in relief of starter Trey Salter. Maddox went 1 2/3innings and allowed one run.
Godwin was 1-for-2 with two RBIs and Winn was 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Davis was 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI in the win for the Twins.
Red Sox 11, Dodgers 9
After seeing their lead go away after the Dodgers scored six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to take a 9-8 lead, the Red Sox tied the game at 9-9 with a run of their own and scored two runs in the sixth inning to win 11-9.
Hunter Mullins was 3-for-4 at the plate with two doubles and picked up the win on the mound for the Red Sox.
Mullins went two innings in relief and allowed seven runs, six earned on five hits, walked four and struck out three.
Strength picked up the save in one inning of work and walking one and striking out two.
Evan Clayton was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Caleb Stewart was 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI.
For the Dodgers, Austin Redash was 2-for-3 with a triple, double and one RBI.
Shawn Odom was 1-for-3 with a double and Ricky Curry was 1-for-2 with three RBIs.
Angels 14, Red Sox 12
Jacob Fillmore was 3-for-4 with a homerun and five RBIs to lead the Angels to a 14-12 win over the Red Sox.
William Whittle was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Hayden Cooper picked up the win on the mound.
Cooper went three innings and allowed one run, none earned, on one hit, and struck out one.
Cam Blackman took the loss for the Red Sox as he went three innings and allowed no earned runs, one total on one hit.
Mullins was 2-for-3 with a double and Curtis Glaize was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Murphy was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and Caleb Stewart was 2-for-2 with two RBIs. Black was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
Red Sox 8, Diamondbacks 2
Seven Diamondback errors led to an 8-2 win for the Red Sox in Babe Ruth action.
Joseph Strength held the Diamondbacks to only one earned run in a complete game seven hitter. Strength struck out 10 and walked one in the win.
Monterius Culliver was 2-for-3 at the plate and Mullins was 2-for-2 with two doubles.
Collin Graves took the loss on the mound for the Diamondbacks as he went two innings and allowed four runs (one earned) on three hits and walked two.
Denton was 2-for-4 and Graves, Louis Miller, Taylor Ballard, Hunter Franklin, and Rob Stokes all had hits in the loss.
White Sox 4, Angels 3
Trailing 3-1 in the last inning of play, the White Sox scored three runs to get a 4-3 win.
Tyler Etheridge was 1-for-3 with a homerun and two RBIs in the seventh inning to get the one-run win.
Gary McGraw picked up the win on the mound for the White Sox and Dominique Jackson earned the save.
Hayden Cooper took the loss on the mound for the Angels.
McGraw was 1-for-3 with a double along with Jaren Jackson.
Fillmore was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Cody Smith was 1-for-2 with a double in the loss.
White Sox 3, Angels 2
In a game that saw only five combined runs and seven combined hits, the White Sox earned a 3-2 win over the Angels.
Brian Settle picked up the win on the mound and Dominique Jackson earned the save. Fillmore took the loss for the Angels,
Keith Bradley was 2-for-3 and Damion Williams was 1-for-3.
Ryan Hunt, Fillmore and Cooper were all 1-for-3 at the plate in the loss for the White Sox.
Red Sox 12, Dodgers 11
The Red Sox trailed 8-3 after three innings, but scored 10 runs in the fourth inning to take a 10-8 lead.
After the Dodgers scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to trail 11-10, the Red Sox added two runs in the top of the fifth inning to get a 12-11 win.
Evan Clayton was 1-for-2 with a double and Caleb Stewart was 1-for-2 with an RBI. Darby Black was 1-for-3 with an RBI.
For the Dodgers, Caleb Dickey was 2-for-3 with a double and Tyler Dehoff was 2-for-3. Caleb McAnally was 1-for-2.
White Sox 5, Angels 1
A trio of White Sox pitchers, Gary McGraw (win), Keith Bradley and Jaren Jackson combined for a no-hitter for the White Sox as they defeated the Angels 5-1.
Reid Johnson took the loss on the mound for the Angels.
McGraw went four innings and had six strikeouts while Bradley went two and had three. Jackson allowed one run on one walk.
Bradley was 1-for-3 and Dominique Jackson was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
McGraw was 1-for-3 with a triple and Settle was 1-for-3 with an RBI. Damion Williams was 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI and Etheridge was 1-for-3.
Diamondbacks 8, Twins 6
The Diamondbacks overcame a 6-2 deficit to defeat the twins 8-6.
The Diamondbacks scored one run in the fifth, three in the sixth inning and two in the seventh inning to get the win.
Collin Graves was 1-for-4 and Louis Miller was 1-for-3 in the win. Eli Tyree was 1-for-3 with a triple and Taylor Ballard was 2-for-4. Hunter Franklin and Rob Stokes were 1-for-4 and 2-for-3 respectively.
For the Twins, Dylan Godwin was 1-for-3 with a double and Kam Winn was 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Logan Williamson was 2-for-4 in the loss for the Twins.
Dodgers 17,
Diamondbacks 4
The Dodgers scored seven runs in the first inning and six in the second inning to help aid in a 17-4 win over the Diamondbacks.
Dehoff took the win on the mound for the Dodgers after going three innings and allowing four runs (one earned) on five hits and struck out four.
Dehoff was also 1-for-4 at the plate with a double and Shawn Odom was 3-for-3. Austin Redash was 2-for-3 with a double.
For the Dia-mondbacks, Conner Denton was 1-for-3 along with Collin Graves. Tyree and Franklin were both 1-for-2 and Eric Maye was 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Twins 1, White Sox 0
In a low-scoring game, the Twins knocked off the White Sox 1-0.
For the Twins, Winn, Davis and Willington were all 1-for-3.
For the White Sox, Damion Williams had the lone hit.
Twins 8, Angels 5
The Twins scored four runs in the fifth inning to overcome a 5-4 deficit and win 8-5.
Logan Williamson took the win on the mound for the Twins going the complete game five innings and allowing four earned runs on nine hits, walked two and struck out four.
Davis was 2-for-2 with an RBI and Maddox was 1-for-3 with two RBIs.
Lucas was 1-for-3 in the win.
Josh Maloy took the loss for the Angels as he went one inning and allowed four runs (three earned) on two hits, walked two and struck out one.
Hunt was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs and Cody Smith was 2-for-2.
Fillmore, Johnson, Cooper, Whittle and Dillon Anthony all had hits in the loss.
White Sox 10, Dodgers 9
An eight-run second inning for the White Sox keyed a 10-9, one-run win over the Dodgers.
Dominique Jackson was 2-for-2 with an RBI for the White Sox and Etheridge, Neill Morris and Cam Easterling all had a hit each in the win.
For the Dodgers, Dehoff was 1-for-2 with a triple and McAnally was 2-for-3 with a double, a triple and an RBI.
Darrion Salter was 1-for-3 with a double and Josh Tompkins was 2-for-2 with an RBI.
White Sox 10, Red Sox 0
The White Sox picked up another win as they blanked the Red Sox 10-0.
The Red Sox were held to only three hits in the loss with Culliver, Glaize and Murphy picking up one hit each.
For the White Sox, Bradley and Williams both were 1-for-1 in the win with Bradley having a double and Williams an RBI.
Twins 3, Dodgers 2
The Dodgers were held to one hit against the Twins as the Twins earned a 3-2 win.
Dylan Godwin was 1-for-2 with a double and Williamson was 1-for-1 with a double.
Dakota Robinson was 1-for-2 along with Ellis who had an RBI.
For the Dodgers, Kieon Smith had the lone RBI in the loss.
Red Sox 6, Dodgers 5
With the game tied at 5-5 in the fifth inning, the Red Sox scored one run in the bottom of the inning to win 6-5 over the Dodgers.
Cam Blackman picked up the win for the Red Sox and Tyler Dehoff took the loss on the mound.
For the Red Sox, Culliver, Mullins, Strength and Stewart all had one hit each in the win and Brewer Murphy was 2-for-2 in the win.
For the Dodgers, Tompkins and Ricky Curry were both 1-for-2 and Smith was 2-for-2 with an RBI in the loss.
Twins 3, Diamondbacks 2
The Twins continued their recent stretch of winning ways as they claimed a 3-2 win over the Diamondbacks.
Godwin, Winn, Davis and Lucas all had a hit in the win for the Twins with Davis having a double.
For the Diamondbacks, Denton was 3-for-4 and Miller was 1-for-3. Tyree was 1-for-2 with two RBIs and Stokes and Tucker added hits in the loss.
Diamondbacks 9, Angels 0
The Diamondbacks Conner Denton pitched a complete perfect game as the Diamondbacks picked up a 9-0 win over the Angels.
Denton went five innings and struck out seven in the win.
Anthony took the loss on the mound for the Angels.
At the plate for the Diamondbacks, Denton was 1-for-2 with an RBI and Graves was 1-for-3.
Tyree was 2-for-3 along with Ballard who had two RBIs.
Tucker was 2-for-3 with two doubles and Maye was 1-for-3 with an RBI.
The Diamondbacks scored two runs in each of the first, third, and fifth innings along with three in the fourth inning.
Angels 15,
Diamondbacks 14
After getting a perfect game in their last game, the Angels rallied over the Diamondbacks and claimed a 15-14 win.
The Diamondbacks held a 14-5 lead after four innings of play before the Angels stormed back with nine runs in the fifth inning to tie the game at 14-14.
From there, a leadoff triple by Reid Johnson for the Angels set up a fielder’s choice RBI from Hayden Cooper that scored Johnson and give the Angels a 15-14 win.
Josh Maloy picked up the win on the mound for the Angels while Louis Miller took the loss.
Johnson was 2-for-3 with a triple for the Angels and Cooper was 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Brandon Carmichael, Cody Smith, Jacob Fillmore and Dillon Anthony all had hits in the win.
For the Diamondbacks, Denton and Graves both had three hits each along with Tucker and Franklin who was 3-for-3 with two doubles.
Louis Miller was 1-for-5 and Taylor Ballard was 2-for-4 with a double.
