Last week your city lost Wayne Howard, a friend, an American patriot and a man dedicated to the love of his family and faith. 
Wayne would tell you that his passing should be a celebration of life and a victory for Christ Jesus. Be happy and rejoice. 
He would share the scripture of John 14:1-6. These verses show that our Father goes to prepare a place for you. That is where I am. Verse 6 says, “I am the way, the truth and the life and no one can come to the Father but through me.” 
Your challenge for today:  If you are without salvation and acceptance, then change that today. Ask Christ into your life. 
Wayne’s life was about faith, family and friends. 
Faith-to believe, trust and hope. 
Family-to love, encourage and sustain. 
Friends-to share, help and care about. 
All of you are those, and I was a life friend.  Wayne and I were able to visit three times in recent months and these words are thoughts, concerns and prayers that we shared together.
