EC All Stars roll over Evergreen 20-3

Facing elimination after losing their first game to Covington County Sunday, the Escambia County 9-10 All Stars responded Monday in a big way.
The All Stars stayed alive and advanced in the tournament with a 20-3 romp of Evergreen.
The win advanced Escambia County to take on the Andalusia-Opp winner Tuesday night in Opp.
If Escambia County lost Tuesday night, they were eliminated from the tournament, but if they won they will take on the loser of the Brewton-Covington County game at 7 p.m. on today.
In the game Monday, starting pitcher Blake McGraw carried a no-hitter into the top of the fourth inning with Escambia County leading 11-0 and needing three outs without giving up more than two runs for the 10-run mercy rule win.
In the inning, Evergreen struck for three runs on three hits to cut the lead to 11-3 and force a fifth inning.
In the inning, Escambia County sent 13 batters to the plate and scored nine runs on eight hits to bust the game open wide and extend their lead to 20-3.
Logan Hendrixs, who relieved McGraw in the fourth inning due to pitch count, went the final 1 1/3 inning as Escambia County won by 17 runs to advance.
McGraw earned the win on the mound as he went 3 2/3 inning and allowed three runs on three hits, walked two, hit one and struck out nine in the win.
Hendrixs allowed one hit and struck out two in relief.
Escambia County scored two runs in the first inning, five in the second, and four runs in the fourth inning before exploding for nine runs in the fifth inning after Evergreen plated three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Brandon Moye was a perfect 5-for-5 at the plate for Escambia County with a double and four singles and three RBIs.
Conner Huskey was 2-for-2 with one RBI and Hayden Hammond had three RBIs.
Conner White was 2-for-5 with a triple and one RBI and McGraw was 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.
Hendrixs was 1-for-4 with one RBI and Ty Davis was 1-for-3.
Mason Kent was 1-for-2 with one RBI for Escambia County in the win.
