Tickets are on sale now for an acoustic concert that will benefit improvements to downtown’s Burnt Corn Creek Park.
The “in the round” concert will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 25.
Brewton native Grayson Capps will perform solo, accompanied by Darin Douglas on fiddle, and Brewton band A Den of Thieves will open.
This will be the third year for the Brewton Music Festival, which was founded by the city’s Quality of Life Committee to help fund improvements at the park.
Last year, the festival hosted the Oak Ridge Boys. This year, the committee decided to do a more stripped-down concert, with a major sponsor stepping in to help put on the show.
Planned improvements at Burnt Corn Creek Park include a skate park, basketball courts, a walking trail and new benches.  “Whatever proceeds we have will go to the park,” Ruzic said. “It’s coming along very nicely. The skate park should be up by September, and there will be basketball goals by next summer.”
Tickets cost $10 each and are available at George’s Barbecue and the Brewton Area Chamber of Commerce.
