The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has recently recognized the 2009 Jefferson Davis Community College softball team for academics on a national level.
The team is ranked 15th in the nation for earning a 3.38 GPA.
The Lady Warhawks also are ranked second in the Alabama Community College Conference with this GPA behind Wallace State-Hanceville.  
Nims also noted that JDCC also has two Distinguished Academic All Americans to add to the list in Jessica Morris and Chelsey Hess.
