BLL 10-11s fall to Jackson

Brewton Little League’s 10- and 11-year-olds ended their state tournament play in Jackson on Tuesday, July 21 against a ‘good’ Jackson team.
Brewton, who finished the state tournament with a record of 1-2 in state play, had only one hit for the night in a 10-0 loss.
Brewton opened their state tournament up with a loss to Cottage Hill by a score of 5-2 in extra innings.
In the loser’s bracket and facing elimination, Brewton defeated Phenix City 19-5 to stave off elimination with the big win.
Brewton advanced to the state tournament game after winning the championship in East Brewton.
Brewton defeated Covington County and Escambia County twice.
The Brewton Little League 10- and 11-year-old all-star team consisted of:
Cole Blackmon, Ethan Bollenbacher, Brooks Brown, Jared Cooper, Trippe Floyd, Austin Holmes, Jonathon Lucas, Jake Najor, Will Smith, Ethan Tyree, and Grant Youngblood.
Lew Najor was the manager along with Robbie Floyd, who was the assistant coach.
