Mrs. Bessie Mack Orange died on Friday, July 24,  2009. Mrs. Orange was born Aug. 26, 1908, in Brewton. She was a member of Brewton Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where she was active in Mission Circle Number Six.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Orange. Sr., a son, Morris, Jr., a daughter, and her mother, Emma Johnson. 
Survivors include a daughter,  Voncile Nettles; three grandchildren,  Dante Nettles Sr., Gwendolyn Byers and Angela Williams, all of the Dallas area; seven great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a number of relatives and friends.
Services were held Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009, at Baptist Hill Baptist Church, Brewton with Rev. Eric T. Andrews officiating. Burial followed at Baptist Hill Cemetery.
