Mr. George Houston Breckenridge, 75, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009,  at a local hospital after a brief illness. He was a native of Black Hawk, Colo., and a former resident of Century, Fla., before moving to Brewton three years ago.  Mr. Breckenridge was a retired support serviceman in the oil industry and a rancher. He was of the Baptist faith and an avid motorcycle enthusiast.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Breckenridge.
Survivors include two sons, Terrance (Becki) Breckenridge of Brewton, and George Curtis (Tonia) Breckenridge of Pensacola, Fla.; two sisters, Audrey Vandell of Sacramento, Calif., and Joann Breckenridge of Century, Fla.; and three grandsons, George Andrew, Christopher and Jackson.
Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 6,  2009, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel  Funeral  Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, Aug.  6, 2009, at  6:30 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home  Inc. with Dr. Ed Glaize officiating. Burial will be private by the family in Flomaton Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home   directing.
