Heading into his third year as head coach for the T.R. Miller Lady Tiger volleyball team, Greg White said his team has worked hard over the summer months heading into the beginning of practice.
White said his team will do that for the first two hours and then for the final 30 minutes, they would break off and do either softball or volleyball drills depending on which sport the girls player or whichever one was in season.
White said they have makeup dates predetermined and they will be made up before the summer end.
White said this summer he had 25 girls in volleyball and softball combined with the majority of them playing both sports.
White and his team started team camp on Tuesday, July 28, and ended camp on Thursday, July 30, with a three-day team camp. Official practice was set to begin last Monday.
White said he and his team is looking forward to getting started for the 2009 season.
White lost one starter from last year’s team and three total seniors.
