The T.R. Miller Lady Tiger volleyball opened their 2009 season with a tri-match sweep of Baldwin County and Flomaton Tuesday in Flomaton.
T.R. Miller swept both games 2-0 winning against Baldwin County 25-21 and 26-24 and then beating Flomaton 25-19 and 25-16.
White said his biggest concern going in to the first game was his team’s serve receive. “This is usually an area that we have some struggles with, but we did a solid job all night in both matches,” White said. “Our setters, Teralyn Moore and Elizabeth Nelson, were very consistent with their sets, which allowed our hitters several kill opportunities. We had a few struggles with our serves in the first match against Baldwin County, but as the night went on we settled down and our ability to serve helped us pull away from both teams as the matches went on.”
