TRM volleyball beats WSN

In a middle school, JV, and varsity three game match at W.S. Neal Tuesday between the Lady Eagles and T.R. Miller and Brewton Middle School, the Tiger volleyball teams defeated the Eagles in two of the three games.
Brewton Middle School defeated W.S. Neal 2-1, W.S. Neal JV defeated T.R. Miller 2-1, and T.R. Miller’s varsity swept W.S. Neal’s varsity 3-0.
Brewton Middle School 2, W.S. Neal 1
W.S. Neal took game one against Brewton 25-21, but BMS rallied and took game two 25-16 and game three 15-9 to win the match 2-1.
In game one for W.S. Neal, Shaya Richards had five service points in the win along with five from Kendal Clayton.
Ashley Fleming and Bailey Stone both had one kill each in the win.
For Brewton, Hannah Weaver had five service points.
Game two:
BMS 25,
WSN 16
For Brewton in game two, Kandice Moore had seven service points and Clayton had five for W.S. Neal.
Game three:
BMS 15,
WSN 9
In the third and deciding game for the match, Moore and Abbi Roberts both had four service points for Brewton with Roberts having an ace.
For W.S. Neal, Cheyenne Jackson had four service points.
The win improved Brewton to 2-0 and dropped W.S. Neal to 1-1.
W.S. Neal JV 2,
T.R. Miller 1
W.S. Neal JV defeated T.R. Miller 2-1 after losing the first set 25-20. W.S. Neal rallied to take game two 25-20 and game three 15-13.
The win improved W.S. Neal to 2-0 and dropped T.R. Miller to 0-2.
In game one, Amber Nelson and Jerrica Watson both had four service points with one ace. Nelson had one kill in the win.
For W.S. Neal, Paige Grantham had six service points in the loss.
Game two:
WSN 25,
TRM 20
W.S. Neal evened the match up at 1-1 with a five-point win over T.R. Miller in game two.
Gracee Dixon had seven service points in the win.
Haley Brown led T.R. Miller with four service points.
Game three:
W.S. Neal 15, T.R. Miller 13
Down 13-8, W.S. Neal rallied and took the deciding game 15-13 to take the win.
Dixon had three service points and one kill in the win to lead W.S. Neal.
Audrey Hamric led T.R. Miller with five service points.
T.R. Miller varsity 3,
W.S. Neal 0
T.R. Miller swept W.S. Neal 3-0 Tuesday night in East Brewton to remain undefeated for the 2009 season. T.R. Miller improved to 4-0 while the loss dropped W.S. Neal to 1-2.
T.R. Miller won game one 25-15, game two 25-21, and game three 25-17 to take the sweep over the Lady Eagles.
In game one, Taylor Guthrie led T.R. Miller with eight service points and three kills.
Amanda Crawford led W.S. Neal with four service points and one kill.
Game two:
T.R. Miller 25, W.S. Neal 21
In game two, Leah Brundidge led T.R. Miller with four service points and Crawford had three for the Lady Eagles.
Game three:
T.R. Miller 25, W.S. Neal 17
T.R. Miller finished off the sweep of W.S. Neal in game three with a 25-17 win.
Natalie Neal had seven service points and two kills in the win and Casey Wilson had four service points, one ace, and three kills in the loss.
