After a tough, sloppy game Friday night in Thomasville that saw the W.S. Neal Eagles fall to 1-3 overall with a 58-0 loss, the Eagles welcome Calhoun to town this week.
The loss last week to No. 1Thomasville saw the Eagles struggle on offense as they fell to 0-3 overall in class 4A region one.
Calhoun comes to East Brewton with a 1-3 overall record and 1-2 record in class 3A region one.
The Tigers are coming off a 56-0 loss to Luverne last week.
While it did get out of hand early, Jordan said he was proud of the way his players played in the second half.
W.S. Neal has scored 49 points this season while giving up 147. Calhoun comes into Friday night scoring 71 points and giving up 168.
Of the 71 points scored, 65 came in one game against Central of Hayneville.
Jordan said that is something that they have to work on.
While the first part of the season has been a tough one for the Eagles since winning in week one, Jordan said with week five’s non-region week, he thinks his team has shown great effort.
Jordan said that they have to do a better job of teaching that to the kids and make sure those mistakes don’t continue to happen.
Game time is set for 7 p.m. in East Brewton.
