Lady Tigers defeat Jay Monday

The T.R. Miller Lady Tiger volleyball team pushed their recent win streak to five games Monday at home as they swept a doubleheader from Jay.
The win improved T.R. Miller to 10-1 as they defeated Jay 2-0 in the first game of the doubleheader and 2-0 in the second game.
T.R. Miler won 25-15 and 25-19 in game one and 25-12 and 25-11 in game two to get the win.
Taylor Guthrie led T.R. Miller in the first game with five service points, two aces, and one kill in the win and Elizabeth Nelson led in game two with five service points and two aces.
In the second game of the double header, Leah Brundidge led the first game with six service points and one ace and Teralyn Moored led in game two with seven.
Guthrie added seven along with one ace and two kills in the win.

The JV Lady Tigers improved to 4-4 with a 2-1 win over Jay.
T.R. Miller lost game one 25-21 before taking game two 25-14 and 15-5 in the third and final set.
In game one, Takeysia McFugerson led with five service points and one kill.
In game two, Lauren Ward led with six straight service points and one ace and Amber Nelson had four service points, one ace, two kills, and one block.
McFugerson led again in game three with four service points.
T.R. Miller was set to play area opponents Cottage Hill and No. 1 ranked Bayside Academy on Tuesday at Bayside.
