Mr. Raleigh Wright Richardson, 87, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, at a medical facility in Covington, La. He was a native and long time resident of Bush, and a former resident of Brewton. He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Bush, and a member of the Shriner’s Club. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps where he was a tail gunner on a B17 Flying Fortress. He received several metals including the Air Medal with three oak leaf clusters, good conduct medal and a unit citation. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Richardson; a son, Stanley Keith Richardson; his parents, John and Sarah Parker Richardson; a brother, Palmer  Richardson and a sister, Ellen (Shorty) Knight.
He is survived by his son, Gary Wayne (Sagrario) Richardson of Summerdale; a daughter, Sara (Frank) Kleinschrodt of St. Corix, Virgin Islands; a sister, Mary Elper of Bush; six grandchildren, John (Anne) George, Richard Richardson, Jenny Resmondo, Anne (Jason) Sonderfan and Karl Kleinschrodt; five great-grandchildren, Allison, Patrick, and Kelly Richardson, Alexander Resmondo and Sara Sonderfan.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, at 2 p.m. at Hebron Baptist Church in Bush, with the Rev. Sam Greer officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Brown-McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa, La. directing.
