Mrs. Annie Kimble Franklin, 102, died recently. She was a native and resident of Conecuh County. She was a member of Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Cleve Samuel; five sons, E.B., U.L., Hubert, Otis and Cleve Samuel Jr; and one daughter, Annie Ruth Smith.
She is survived by six daughters, Addie Benjamin, Earlene Likely, and Eunice (Richard) Williams, all of Evergreen. Viola Jackson and Nora Carr, both of Omaha, Neb., and Minnie (Willie) Williams of Cincinnati, Ohio; one son, Sylester (Sandra) Samuel of Southfield, Mich.; a daughter-in-law, Channie Samuel; 41 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren; 48 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other friends and family.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 3, at 11 a.m. at Sandy Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Duran Odoms officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
