For the second straight year, and first time under head coach Kevin Jordan, the W.S. Neal Eagle football team head into week 10 against T.R. Miller with a 2-7 record.
W.S. Neal comes into the Battle of Murder Creek after suffering a 42-7 loss at the hands of the B.C. Rain Red Raiders Friday night in Mobile at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
Jordan said the loss to B.C. Rain was lost by turnovers.
T.R. Miller comes into the Battle of Murder Creek with an 8-1 overall record and a 55-0 win over W.S. Neal last year in Brewton.
Jordan said defensively the Tigers come after you and play a good, strong cover-two defense.
As a first year head coach in the rivalry, Jordan said the Miller-Neal game is unlike any other rivalry he has been part of.
Jordan said with the rivalry aside, he knows they are going to get a great effort from Miller and a great effort from his kids.
While the season has been a rough first year for Jordan, he says a win over Miller in the season finale would be a huge win.
Jordan also said a win would heal a lot of wounds.
Game time for the Battle of Murder Creek is set for 7 p.m. at W.S. Neal Stadium in East Brewton.
