Hunter Education classes to be held
A hunter education and field day class will be held Nov. 7 and 8 at First United Methodist Church.
The hunter education class will be held on both days from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. on Nov. 7 and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Nov. 8 Students must be at least 10 years of age to receive credit.
The course is free to the public and students must attend both days to receive credit.
The field day class will be held Nov. 8 from 1 to 5 p.m. and students must take the Internet/CD course on a computer and bring the printed report to the class.

Students will need their Social Security number.
Brewton area golfers wanted
Seven spots remain in the field for the Fifth Annual AJGT Kelly Love Showcase Classic, to be played at Indian Bayou Country Club in Destin, Florida on the weekend of Nov. 7-8.
Brewton area junior golfers ages 12-18 are eligible to compete.
Exemptions are offered to Boys and Girls Champions and the two-day, 36-hole tournament is ranked by the National Junior Golf Scoreboard.
College coaches are ?invited to attend and results from the tournament are emailed to collegiate golf programs throughout the country.
A coach’s packet with player contact information is provided to all coaches in attendance.
TRM to play Abbeville
In the first round of the AHSAA football playoffs, the T.R. Miller Tigers will host Abbeville on Friday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. at Brewton Municipal Stadium.
Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. All spectators should remember that the AHSAA does not permit reserved seating for any playoff games.
