Residents of Brewton’s District 4 are planning a major cleanup day Saturday.
The “Day of Pride” will begin at 8 a.m., with residents of District 4 and community members gathering at Baptist Hill Baptist Church, said Joe Watson, councilman for District 4.
Watson said he hopes people will come to support the community and clean up debris and trash.
Dumpsters and bags will be provided by the city, and community members will also get disposable gloves for picking up paper and debris.
People are welcome to bring tools such as rakes and weedeaters, but those are not necessary as some equipment will be provided.
The cleanup will last from 8 a.m. to noon, and refreshments will be provided after the cleanup.
