Mr. J.H. McCurdy, 74, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, in Century. He was a native and life long resident of Century. He helped run McCurdy Dairy and operated the Dairy Bar Cafe. He was also employed at Container Corporation as a chemical engineer and retired after 42 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara J. McCurdy of Century; a niece, Ericka Register (J.B.) Nelson of Century; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Donna and Coy Register of McDavid, Fla.; and several other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 3 p.m. at Century United Methodist Church with the Rev. Janet Lee officiating. Burial will follow at McCurdy Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
