Mrs. Lola Bell Walker, 82, died Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, in a local hospital. She was a native of Evergreen and an active member of Sandy Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by three children, Rosette, Mahaila and Danny; and two brothers, Clanford Williams and Roosevelt Williams.
She is survived by her husband, Rochelle Walker Sr.; a son, Rochelle Walker Jr.; three daughters, Lillie D. Culliver of Detroit, Mich., Linda Faye Johnson of San Antonio, Texas, and Cathy (Larry) Bradley of Columbus, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Terra (Michael) Lockett, Michelle Culliver, Stephanie (Anthony) Williams, Crystal Culliver, Shelia Culliver, Spencer (Stacey) Walker, Gabrielle Walker, Stacey Johnson and Brenden Levar Bradley; 13 great-grandchlldren; special friends, Margaret Jackson and Elizabeth Benjamin; a sister, Esther Lou Jones; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 16, at 11 a.m. at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Duron Odom officiating. Burial followed at Sandy Grove Church Cemetery in Evergreen with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
