The Christmas Parade has attracted a lot of interest this year, Chamber of Commerce organizers said.
The parade will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday and will brought to a finale with the arrival of Santa on the fire truck as the last vehicle in the parade.
In addition to floats and other units in the parade, several bands, cheerleaders and dance troups will be a part of the event, Hart said.
The parade will line up in East Brewton on Shoffner Street and will travel down Forrest Avenue, over the bridge on Mildred Street, to the main intersection at the railroad tracks. After crossing the tracks, the parade will turn right onto St. Joseph Avenue to Belleville Avenue where it will disband on side streets of McLellan, Rankin and Granberry.
Santa will be available at the gazebo in the park after the parade to talk with the children.
