Mrs. Velma Odom, 74, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, in Brewton. She was a native of Bluff Springs, Fla., a former resident of Atmore, and a resident of Range for the past eight years. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Sue Odom.
She is survived by her husband, Orrie Odom of Range; two sons, James Odom and Frank Odom, both of Range; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wilmer Scott of Bay Minette, and Billy Scott of Little River; and two sisters, Ruth Scott and Roberta Johnson, both of Atmore.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 5, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Thurl Pearson officiating. Burial followed at Hartwood Methodist Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
