Mr. C.W, Weaver, 90, died Friday, January 1, 2010. He was a native of Brewton and a longtime resident of Pensacola. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1943 to 1946. He worked at Escambia Motor Company (later Jack Lee Buick) for more than two decades. In 1969 he opened the C.
W. Weaver Paint and Body Shop which he operated until his retirement in 1982. He was an active member of East Hill Baptist Church and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Minnie Bell Weaver; his first wife, Marguerite and his siblings, Lyman Weaver, Evelyn Jernigan and Estelle Knox.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Jean Weaver; his children, Carol (Dennis) Wolters, Charles Wallace (Elaine) Weaver, and Ellen (Charles) VanArsdale; his grandchildren, Timothy Wolters, Stephanie Davenport, Alison Wolters Herbic, Jeffrey Wolters, Lara Weaver, Holly Weaver, William Swick, and Mary Love; and his great-grandchildren, Sarah and Jeffrey Davenport, Caroline and Jason Wolters, Nola Herbic, Grace and Hannah Love, and Aidan Swick.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 8, at 1 p.m. at Bayview Fisher Pou Chapel Funeral Home. Burial followed at Bayview Memorial Park with Bayview Fisher Pou Chapel Funeral Home directing.
