Mr. Frank L. Standifer Sr., 65, died Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, in Brooksville, Fla. He was a native of Erick, Okla.,and of the Baptist faith. He had been a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the American Legion. He was a truck driver and was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Boyd Standifer and his step-father, Ben Owen.
He is survived by his mother, Hazel M. Owen, of Edmond Okla.; three sons, Frank (Tommie Sue) Standifer and Owen Standifer, all of Colquitt, Ga., and Kevin (Jennifer) Sconyers of Shreveport, La.; three daughters, Lori ( Darryl) Sessions of Camden, LeAnn (Robert) Sapp of WeekiWachee, Fla., and Tonya (Brad) Cross of Donalsonville, Ga.; a brother, Doyle G. (Sharon) Standifer of Edmond, Okla.; a sister, Peggy (Dennis) Forbes of Lebanon, Mo.; 14 grandchildren and a special friend, Jeanette Moates.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 10, at 3 p.m. at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Minister Rickey Eppes and the Rev. Wade Bridges officiating. Burial followed at Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Colquitt, Ga.
