Three local teens were arrested Friday on a variety of drug charges by officers with the Brewton Police Department’s narcotics division at an area motel.
Sgt. Bryan Davis, supervisor of the Narcotics Division, said Ava Lucas, 19, was arrested and charged with distribution of a controlled substance (marijuana) and first-degree possession of marijuana after undercover officers purchased the substance from the subject.
Davis said two other arrests were made at the same time Lucas was arrested.
Laurine Irvine and Tynesia Smith, both 19 of Brewton, were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit distribution of a controlled substance and first-degree possession of marijuana.
Each of the suspects is being held at the Escambia County Detention Center on $100,000 bond. Bond was set late Tuesday.
