The Escambia County Republican Executive Committee has elected Jeff Peacock as its chairman.
The new chairman said party building efforts would include extensive volunteer recruitment and fundraising.
Peacock said he attributed the growth to a growing unease with the liberal agenda being pursued by the Democratic Party.
At the same meeting, the Escambia County GOP elected Lloyd Albritton to the Alabama Republican State Executive Committee. Albritton joins Peacock and Republican Party Vice Chair Jackie Gay as Escambia County’s three members of the State Executive Committee.
