Mr Bennie Lee Lucas Jr., 41, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010 in Bessemer. He was a native of Pensacola, and a former resident of Rock Creek and a resident of Escambia County since 1988. He attended the Assembly of God Church and was preceded in death by his father, Bennie Lee Lucas Sr. and a sister, Sonja Booker.
He is survived by a son, Bennie Lee Lucas III of Flomaton; a step-son, Kayle King of Bradley; three daughters, Ava Nichole Lucas of Bradley, Logan Lucas of Dothan, and Taylor Lucas; his mother, Eleanor Lucas of Flomaton; four brothers, Timmy Lynn Lucas of Brewton, Shawn Lucas and Steven Lucas, both of Rock Creek, and Shannon Lucas of Flomaton; six sisters, Kathy Cunningham of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., Darlene Lucas of Brewton, Michelle Williamson of Pensacola, Fla.,  Patrissa Thompson and Melissa Jernigan, both of Byrneville, and Ashley Presley of Allentown.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 4, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home chapel.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 5, at 10 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Avon Fowler and the Rev. Glenn Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Creek Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
