Tiger B-team ends with win over FHS

After suffering two losses on Friday and Saturday, a 79-42 loss to Monroe County and a 46-32 loss to Hillcrest, the T.R. Miller B-team ended their regular season with a 4-10 record after defeating Flomaton 61-49 Monday night on the road.
Monroe County 79,
T.R. Miller B-team 42
On Friday in Monroeville, Monroe County used a 22-4 first quarter to drop the B-team Tigers to 3-9 with a 79-42 Tiger loss.
Down by 18 points after the first quarter, Monroe County extended their lead by six point, 40-16, at halftime time with an 18-12 second quarter advantage.
In the third quarter, Monroe County outscored T.R. Miller 17-13 to hold a 57-29 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.
Monroe County outscored T.R. Miller 22-13 in the fourth quarter to get the win.
Mark Bryant led with 18 points and Darrion Salter added 10 points.
Caleb Dickey added seven points and Randy Davis had four points. David Barragan had two points and Jerric Woods chipped in one point.
Hillcrest 46,
T.R. Miller B-team 32
With the Hillcrest lead cut down to five points in the fourth quarter Saturday in Brewton, the B-team Tigers had back-to-back turnovers to stop the comeback and suffer a 46-32 loss to the Jaguars to fall to 3-10.
Hillcrest led 10-5 after the first quarter and extended their lead to 21-8 at halftime after an 11-3 second quarter.
T.R. Miller cut the lead to eight points at the start of the fourth quarter as they outscored the Jaguars 15-10 to cut the lead to 31-23.
In the fourth, Hillcrest outscored the Tigers 15-9 to take the 14-point win.
Randy Davis led with 10 points and Caleb Hubbard and Darrion Salter both had six points.
Dickey and Bryant had four points each and Aaron Yuhasz had two points.
T.R. Miller 61 B-team, Flomaton 49
Down by one point heading into the fourth quarter, 34-33, the B-team Tigers started the fourth quarter on a 6-0 run and outscored the Hurricanes 28-15 in the quarter to get a 61-49 win.
The Tigers trailed 13-9 after the first quarter, but responded with a 12-4 advantage in the second quarter to lead 21-17 at halftime.
Flomaton outscored T.R. Miller 17-12 in the third quarter to fall behind 34-33 after the third quarter before taking the lead in the fourth quarter and getting the win.
T.R. Miller shot 4-of-7 from the free throw line in the win while Flomaton was 15-of-29.
Bryant poured in 26 points to lead the Tigers and Salter added 15 points in the win. Davis chipped in eight points and Hubbard added four points.
Barragan added three points and Jerric Woods, Yuhasz, and Dickey all had two points each.
