Mr. Carl Robert Bowman Sr., 90, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, after a brief illness in a Century, Fla., nursing facility. He was a native of Jeffries, Wis., and a former resident of Michigan, before moving to Flomaton in 1974. He was a U.S. veteran having served in World War II, a member of the VFW in Sturgis, Mich., American Legion, and retired from the bridge construction industry.
He is survived by a son, Carl R. (Elaine) Bowman of South Lyon, Mich.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m. at Green Acres Cemetery with Commander Joe Dozier officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
