TRM seniors perform Willy Wonka

A stage full of Oompa Loompas and a retiring chocolatier will perform in the second of two performances tonight on the stage at T.R. Miller High School’s auditorium as members of the senior class present “Willy Wonka.”
Amy Dullard, director and sponsor for the senior play, said students had been preparing for the performances for more than a month.
Tonight’s performance begins at 7 and includes two acts with characters portrayed by members of the senior class.
The cast is headlined by Allen Rigby, who portrays Willy Wonka in a story about the passage of the chocolate factory to a suitable new leader.
Nick Moore portrays Charlie Buckett, who eventually gains the throne of the chocolate kingdom.
Other key roles include Will Hall and Aleigh Huff and Mr. and Mrs. Bucket; Alex Baggett and Katie Edge as Grandma Josephine and Grandma Georgina, with Spinks Megginson as Grandpa Joe and Johntae Brown as Grandpa George.
Additional actors and their characters are David Wilson as Agustus Gloop; Mallory Mullis as Mrs. Gloop; Allison Dixon as Veruca Salt; Shane Thomas as Mr. Salt; Robert Knowles as Mike Teavee; Catherine Reeves as Ms. Teavee; Chelsea Madden as Violet Beauregarde; Caroline Chapman as Mrs. Beauregarde; Andrew Terry as Candyman; and Maria Ramos as Phinea Trout.
Tickets are $6 each and are available at the door.
