Mr. James Edward Pearson, 85, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at a Mobile hospital. He was a native of Range and a resident of Atmore, for most of his life. He attended New Beginnings Ministries and a member of SAIL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Pearson and a son, Thomas Clyde Pearson.
He is survived by two sons, the Rev. Ollie (Myrle) Pearson of Eight Mile, and the Rev. Thurl (Gayle) Pearson of Atmore; two daughters, Lillian (Kenneth) Nix of Brewton, and Frances (Al) Brown of Atmore; 22 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 3, at 10 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Thurl Pearson and the Rev. Clyde Bruley officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery  with Petty Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
