Mr. Theron Maddox, 82, died Thursday, March 4, 2010, at a Mobile hospital. He was a native of Brewton, a resident of Atmore for the past 57 years, and an employee of Hainje’s Furniture for 52 years. He attended the First Baptist Church for the past 16 years and was a deacon at the Martinville Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Florence Maddox of Atmore; his son, Tim Maddox of Atmore; and three grandchildren, Amanda Raines and Caitlin Maddox, both of Atmore, and Tony Maddox of Los Lunas, N.M.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 7, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Arnold Hendrix officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel directing. Pallbearers were Issac Davis, Terry Troutman, Jeremy Raines, Ray Brantley, Mark Brown and James Brown.
