TRM Lady Tiger tennis starts undefeated

Both the T.R. Miller girls and boys tennis teams improved their records this season with wins over Milton at a home match Monday night.
The wins for the teams improved the girls to 3-0 this season while the boys improved to 2-1.
Both teams defeated Milton 8-4 Monday night.
In the No. 1 singles girls match, Andrea Alvarado lost 8-6 and was followed by Jamie Li in the No. 2 slot who lost 8-4.
Mallory Mullis won her No. 3 match with an 8-0 win and was followed by Catherine Reeves in the No. 4 singles with an 8-4 win.
Laferria Hetherington won in the No. 5 slot 9-8 and 7-4 in the tiebreaker and No. 6 Elizabeth Nelson won 8-0 to give the Lady Tigers the win.
No double matches for the girls or the boys were played.
Boys:
Nick Dorso lost the No. 1 singles match 8-6, and Nick Moore lost 8-6 in the No. 2 slot.
Bryce Wilcox won 8-5 in the third slot and Taylor Terry won 8-2 in the No. 4 match. Brandon Nelson picked up an 8-0 win in the No. 5 match and Patrick Weaver won 8-1 in the sixth slot.
T.R. Miller vs. Opp
The Tiger teams started their season 1-0 against Opp last week.
In the No. 1 singles girls match against Opp, Andrea Alvarado won 8-6 and was followed by Jamie Li in the No. 2 slot who lost 8-5.
Mallory Mullis won her No. 3 match with an 8-2 win and was followed by Catherine Reeves in the No. 4 singles with an 8-2 win.
Laferria Hetherington won in the No. 5 slot 8-0 and No. 6 Elizabeth Nelson won 8-6 to give the Lady Tigers the win.
In doubles, Li and Hetherington lost 8-3 and Sara Williamson and DeAundra Hetherington won in the No. 2 spot 8-4. Whitney Nicholson and Abbi Carlson won the No. 3 spot 8-0.
Boys:
Nick Dorso won the No. 1 singles match 8-2, and Wilcox won 8-2 in the No. 2 slot. Terry won 8-2 in the third slot and Nelson won 8-4 in the No. 4 match.
Weaver lost 8-2 in the No. 5 match and Michael Kast won 8-1 in the sixth slot.
In doubles, Dorso and Wilcox won 8-1 and Nelson and Terry won 8-0. In the No. 3 spot, Rigby and Stringer won 9-8.
T.R. Miller vs. Cottage Hill
On Saturday, the Lady Tigers improved to 2-0 while the boys lost their first game to fall to 1-1.
In the No. 1 singles girls match against Cottage Hill, Alvarado won 6-4 and 6-2 and was followed by Li in the No. 2 slot who won 6-1 and 6-3.
Mullis won her No. 3 match with a 4-6, 6-1, 7-5 win and was followed by Hetherington in the No. 4 singles who lost 2-6, 6-4, 1-6.
Nelson won in the No. 5 slot 6-4, 6-4 and No. 6 Hetherington won 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 to give the Lady Tigers the win.
In doubles, Li and Hetherington won 7-3, 6-3, 7-6 and DeAundra Hetherington and Nicholson lost in the No. 2 spot 6-3, 2-5, 10-3. Abbi Carlson and Allan lost the No. 3 spot 6-2 and 6-4.
Boys:
Against Cottage Hill, Nick Dorso won the No. 1 singles match 6-1 and 6-3, and Moore lost 6-7, 6-4, 11-9 in the No. 2 slot.
Wilcox lost 7-6, 3-6, (10-7) 7-6 in the third slot and Terry lost 6-2 and 6-1 in the No. 4 match.
Weaver lost 6-2 and 6-2 in the No. 5 match and Michael Kast lost 2-6 and 0-6 in the sixth slot.
In doubles, Dorso and Wilcox lost 6-3 and 6-0 and Moore and Terry lost 6-3 and 6-0. In the No. 3 spot, Weaver and Stringer lost 6-0 and 6-0.
