Two East Brewton men were arrested and face a variety of drug charges after police officers from Brewton and East Brewton served a search warrant Friday night.
Daryl Steadman of 205 Ballard St., in East Brewton, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (crack cocaine), unlawful possession of a controlled substance (Xanax), first-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sgt. Bryan Davis with the Brewton Police Department’s Narcotics Division said officers from his department worked with officers from the East Brewton and Brewton Police Departments, Brewton K-9 units and the Brewton Special Response Team in the investigation and subsequent arrests.
A second resident, Reginald Tyrone Curry, 32, of the Ballad Street home was arrested later that night by officers in connection with suspected drug activity at the location, Davis said.
