Among the best|TRM Lady Tiger Nakiya Smith makes All-State

T.R. Miller Lady Tiger senior basketball player was the lone representative from the Brewton area to be named to the Alabama Sports Writers Association All-State basketball teams as she made the Class 3A girls first team
Mr. and Miss Basketball will be announced on March 24 during a noon banquet at The Birmingham News.
Smith scored 593 total points this season for an average of 20.4 points per game as she helped lead the Lady Tigers to a 26-3 record and a birth in the class 3A Final Four before losing to Madison Academy.
Smith finished with 55 total assists and 1.9 assists per game, and 8.5 rebounds per game.
She had 12 blocks and 96 steals.
The Lady Tigers finished as Escambia County Tournament Champions, regular season and area tournament champions and South Regional champions.
The Lady Tigers won the state championship last season.
After high school, Smith said she has plans to play basketball in college.
