Tiger JV baseball gets first win

The T.R. Miller JV baseball team picked up their first win of the season Monday at home as they split with Northview to improve to 1-4 this season.
The JV Tigers won game one 15-14 for their first win but lost game two 9-5 to fall to 1-4.
Game one: T.R. Miller 15, Northview 14
A 12-run third inning for the JV Tigers almost proved to be worthless as Northview tied the game at 14-14 with an eight-run fourth inning, but the Tigers would score one run in the fifth to win by one for their first win of the season.
Trialing 6-1 after the top of the third inning, the Tigers scored 12 in the bottom of the inning to grab a 13-6 lead.
T.R. Miller would have their lead taken away with Northview’s eight runs in the fourth inning to take a 14-13 lead.
T.R. Miller would score one in the bottom of the fourth to tie the game and one in the fifth to get the win.
Shawn Odom pitched and got the win for T.R. Miller as he allowed three hits, all in the fourth inning, walked eight and struck out five.
Collin Graves was 2-for-2 with one RBI and Odom was 1-for-3 with three RBIs.
Jacob Fillmore was 1-for-2 and Curtis Glaize was 2-for-4. Kameron Winn was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and the game-winning RBI in the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly.
Sam Smith was 1-for-2 and Ricky Curry was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
Tyler Nelms was 1-for-2 in the win.
Northview 9, T.R. Miller 5
In game two, T.R. Miller led 5-4 after the fourth inning before giving up five runs in the fifth inning to lose 9-5.
The Tigers were held to two hits with Glaize going 1-for-2 and Winn going 1-for-1.
Darby Black pitched in the loss for the Tigers.
T.R. Miller scored three in the first and two in the fourth in the loss while Northview scored two in the first, one in the second and third and five in the fifth inning.
