The Friends of the Public Library will host an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Community House. At this time the Brewton Public Library will begin the 2010 Big Read Alabama, featuring The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Pick up a copy at the library.
Also today, the Escambia-Brewton Career Technical Center's Day in the Park will be at Burnt Corn Creek Park beginning at noon and run until 6 p.m.  Students and faculty will be demonstrating skills learned throughout the year, including masonry, automotive, welding, building construction, forestry, health science, business, education, and training. Concessions will be sold.
