Tiger baseball team passes win total from 2009

The T.R. Miller Tiger baseball team picked up their eighth win of the season Tuesday at Flomaton as they downed the Hurricanes 10-4.
The win improved the Tigers to 8-3 overall this season.
T.R. Miller trailed 4-0 after the first inning against the Hurricanes but responded with 10 unanswered runs to get the win by six.
The Tigers plated one runs in the second and fourth innings, three in the fifth and five in the seventh inning to get the win.
Caleb McAnally led the Tigers at the plate, as he was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two homeruns.
Conner Denton was 3-for-3 with one RBI and Wil Riggs was 2-for-4 with one RBI. Ryan Hunt was 1-for-3 in the win for the Tigers.
Robert Knowles picked up the win on the mound in relief of starter Joseph Strength. Strength went 2/3 of an inning and allowed six hits, four runs, two earned, and struck out none and walked none.
Knowles went 6 1/3 inning and allowed no runs, one hit, walked three and struck out three in the win.
The T.R. Miller JV team lost 4-1 to Flomaton to fall to 1-6 this season.
Kameron Winn and Curtis Glaize were both 1-for-2 in the loss and Caleb Dickey pitched for the Tigers.
Flomaton scored two runs in the first inning and one each in the third and fourth innings while holding T.R. Miller to just one run in the top of the fourth inning.
The Tigers were set to take on Jay Thursday in Jay before traveling to Choctaw County Friday for an area doubleheader.
T.R. Miller will be back in action Monday at W.S. Neal at 6 p.m. with the JV playing at 4 p.m.

The Tigers picked up a one-run win over Jay Thursday to improve to 9-3 overall this season.
T.R. Miller used three runs in the first inning and one in the third inning to help build a 4-0 lead after the top of the fourth inning.
Jay would respond with three runs in the fourth inning and one in the fifth inning to tie the game at 4-4 after five innings of play.
T.R. Miller broke the tie with one run in the sixth inning to take a 5-4 lead and neither team scored the remainder of the game as the Tigers claimed the win.
Kevin Davis earned the win on the mound going the complete game and allowing four runs, two earned, on two hits, walked four, struck out 11 and hit one batter.
At the plate, Wes Dickey was 2-for-4 with a double and Conner Denton was 2-for-5. Davis was 2-for-3 with a double and Caleb McAnally was 2-for-3 with three RBIs.
Robert Knowles was 1-for-4 with a double and Stephen Warren was 1-for-3. Corey Rilling added an RBI in the win for the Tigers.
T.R. Miller left 10 runners on base.
The win surpasses the Tigers win total from last year as they were 8-11 in 2009.
