Churches join for Holy Week services

Five Brewton churches began celebrating an ecumenical Holy Week Monday with a noon service at St. Maurice Catholic Church.
The Rev. Gary Baldwin, pastor of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, brought the message.
A combined choir from St. Maurice, St. Stephen's and First United Methodist churches provided music.
Tuesday's service will be held at First United Methodist Church, with Cook speaking.
Wednesday's service will be held at St. Stephens, with the Rev. John Mathieu.
Thursday's service will be at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ed Glaize speaking.
Friday's service will be at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Jack Fitts speaking.
Each service begins at noon, with a light lunch following.
