Members of five Brewton churches celebrated their “oneness in Christ” as a series of ecumenical Holy Week services got under way Monday and Tuesday.
The Rev. Ed Glaize, pastor of First United Methodist Church, echoed that sentiment as he welcomed community members to his own church on Tuesday.
The Rev. Gary Baldwin, pastor of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, brought the message Monday.
A combined choir from St. Maurice, St. Stephen’s and First United Methodist churches provided music on Monday and Tuesday.
Wednesday’s service will be held at St. Stephens, with the Rev. John Mathieu speaking
Thursday’s service will be at First Baptist Church, with the Glaize bringing the message.
Friday’s service will be at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Jack Fitts speaking.
Each service begins at noon, with a light lunch following.
