Three areas of Brewton will have trash pickup moved to Fridays, effective immediately, city officials said Tuesday.
Trash pickup for Country Club Estates (across from Jet Pep), West Alexander and Alexander Heights will be on Fridays.
Residents are reminded not to pile debris near telephone poles or power lines. Residents are asked to place trash in an area that is on their property and accessible by the grapple on the truck. Contractor debris is required to be removed by the contractor.
Small items that can fit into a garbage can should be placed in a garbage can. Residents are also asked to separate wood, limbs and other yard waste from regular household trash, such as carpet and furniture.
Trash pickup is not the same as garbage (or household waste) pickup, which is done by Allied Waste.
