W.S. Neal JV baseball ends with win over TRM

The W.S. Neal Eagle JV baseball team ended their season Monday at home with a 5-1 win over T.R. Miller.
The win for the Eagles ended their season with a 10-4 record while T.R. Miller dropped to 1-7 overall this season.
In the game Monday, W.S. Neal used a three-run second inning and a two-run third inning after falling behind 1-0 in the top of the second inning to get the win by four runs.
Cam Blackman earned the win on the mound for the Eagles as he went the complete game five innings and allowed only one hit and one run while walking two and striking out five.
Shawn Odom took the loss on the mound for the Tigers going four innings and allowing five runs on three hits, walked two and struck out seven.
For W.S. Neal at the plate, Sean Lucas was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and Brian Settle was 1-for-2.
For T.R. Miller, Odom was 1-for-2 in the loss.
T.R. Miller will end their season with a home game on April 5 against Excel.
W.S. Neal varsity sweeps BCR
W.S. Neal swept an area doubleheader in Mobile Friday with B.C. Rain to improve to 12-7 overall and to 2-2 in area.
W.S. Neal won game one 17-3 and game two 10-1.
In game one, W.S. Neal used a seven-run fifth inning to get the win.
Hunter Mullins was 2-for-3 with five RBIs and Damion Williams was 1-for-1.
Reid Johnson was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs and Logan Williamson was 2-for-5 with two RBIs and a double.
Christian Purvis was 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI and Dodson Herrington was 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Dylan Godwin was 1-for-1 with one RBI and Bradley Brown was 1-for-2 with an RBI.
In game two, W.S. Neal used a five-run third inning to help get the win while holding the Red Raiders of B.C. Rain to one run in the first inning.
Brown was 1-for-1 with two doubles and Williams was 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Johnson was 1-for-2 and Williamson was 3-for-4 with three RBIs in the area win for the Eagles.
Godwin was 1-for-3 along with Brian Settle.
Josh Palmer had an RBI in the win for the Eagles.
W.S. Neal will take on UMS-Wright at home on Thursday at 5 p.m in an area game before travelling to Mobile Friday for an area game doubleheader with the Bulldogs.
Game time is set for 2 p.m. in Mobile.
The Eagles of East Brewton will have their final home game of the 2010 season Monday when they take on the Royals of Jay High School.
Game time is set for 5 p.m. in East Brewton.
