East Brewton Little League starts regular season Monday

On Monday in the opening games for East Brewton Little League and softball games, the Sunbirds, Yankees, Dodgers, and Braves earned wins.
The Sunbirds softball team edged out the Brewton Thunder 9-6 while the Yankees defeated the Cardinals 6-4.
The Dodgers rallied to claim a 9-8 win over the Red Sox and the Braves defeated Flomaton Green 12-5.
No stats were known as of press time for the Braves and Flomaton game.

Brewton Thunder 6
Despite having only one hit, the Sunbirds were able to get a 9-6 win over the Brewton Thunder Monday.
The Sunbirds benefited from nine walks and three Thunder errors to get the win.
For the Sunbirds, Haleigh Dubose earned the win on the mound as she allowed six runs on six hits, walked three and struck out three.
Tori Wyatt had the lone hit.
For the Thunder, Lizzie Pollitte took the loss on the mound allowing nine runs on one hit, walked nine and struck out four.
At the plate, Bailey Ellis was 2-for-2 and Natalie Clayton and Brittany Warren were both 1-for-2.
Shanika Tinker was 1-for-1 and Pollitte was 1-for-3.
Yankees 6, Cardinals 4
The Yankees got a one-hit and 10 strikeout pitching performance from Colton Morris to help them claim a 6-4 win over the Cardinals.
Morris walked none and allowed no runs in the win and was joined by Dalton Shell on the mound who allowed four runs on three hits, walked two, and struck out six.
At the plate, Morris was 1-for-4 and Andrew Langham was 2-for-3 with a double.
Bryce Booker was 1-for-3 along with Dakota Graves and Shell was 1-for-1 with a triple.
Blake McGraw was 1-for-3 with a double.
For the Cardinals, Lane Chavers, TyShawn Davis, and Derick Barton all pitched in the loss.
At the plate, Chavers was 1-for-3 and Malcolm Hawthorne was 1-for-2 with a triple.
Logan Fore was 1-for-1 and Davis was 1-for-2 with a triple.
Dodgers 9, Red Sox 8
The Dodgers trailed 8-1 going into the bottom of the sixth inning before scoring eight runs on six hits to get the win.
Jeremy Sims and Brandon Moye pitched in the win for the Dodgers while Matt Hutchins, Eddie Taylor and Patrick Lovelace pitched for the Red Sox.
At the plate for the Dodgers, Jacoby Hawthorne was 2-for-2 with a triple and Sims was 1-for-3.
Jacob Crane was 1-for-2 and Tucker Davenport was 1-for-2 with a double. Gage Parker was 1-for-1 and Conner Husky was 1-for-1 with a triple.
For the Red Sox, Hutchins was 1-for-4 with a triple and Lovelace was 2-for-3 with a triple.
Scott Carpenter was 1-for-1 and Aaron Bosarge was 1-for-2. Kristian Taylor was 1-for-1 and Steven Summerlin was 1-for-3 along with Taylor.
Devin Parker was 1-for-2 in the loss.
