Mr. Lewis Wilmer Henley, 98, of the Bradley community, died Thursday, April 8, 2010 in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was a native and life long resident of Escambia County. He was a member of Bradley Assembly of God Church and was retired as the Escambia County School System as School Bus Transportation Supervisor with 35 years of service.
He is survived by a son, Don (Carolyn) Henley of Wing; two stepsons, Tim Hodge and Aaron Hodge, both of Brewton; two brothers, John Henley of Huntsville, and Dan Henley of Arkansas; a sister, Von Bergschneider of Crestview, Fla.; two granddaughters, Lisa Oliver of Montgomery and Robin Sessions of Brewton; one great-grandson, John Wesley Sessions; two step-grandsons, Brandon Hodge and Tyler Hodge; and a special friend, Marsha Coleman of Castleberry.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 11, at 3 p.m. at Bradley Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Roy Davis officiating. Burial followed at Old Bradley Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
